| I was wondering how I could best animate a business card image, when I thought of a title sequence for Georges Pal's Puppetoons of some characters dancing in a circle. The next thing I knew I was throwing together "Roller Demo (Reel) Derby," trying to dash it off in a week. Came close, but truth be told, Georges was known for much more positive work. |
This was a case of aiming high, noticing some weaknesses, more or less dropping the project, and letting go. When the inspiration came to re-do parts of it, what had been lost fit where it needed to, in the third week, but this was not the one minute project that I wanted to make during all of April.
