Without UV mapping, INSPIRE animators have a choice between "stencilling," animating "unwrapped" cylindical textures, or not worrying about skin pores and cloth and such.
An extremely low-poly head was used, without mouth. The breakthrough came when I colored the original CAD head green -- yes! As you can see, I rotate/hinged the mouth of the CAD object open first. Magnetting the selected low-poly head to match the green object detail-for-detail just required magnetting until the green disappeared. Some under-detailed areas like the nostrils and mouth were smooth-shifted, and some areas required copying points into another layer, to make polygons, but the breakthrough was apparently using the CAD object as a template.
